Chapter 5 – The Big Bang!
Isaiah 40:21-23 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the
beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon
the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the
heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to
nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
Have you ever seen a video of when a sperm enters an egg at the exact point of conception?
There is a ring of bright light that surrounds it in a beautiful chain reaction that encircles the egg
in light and consumes it. The video is much better but here is a picture.

I believe that to be the “big bang” that science talks about in the beginning. Except it was God’s moment of conception of this world. Most things in the bible have varying levels of meaning which allows for the Holy Spirit’s lifetime teaching of all of those things to us. Especially parallel in much of the scripture, is us and this earth. It makes sense as we came from dust, right?
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
It makes the story of creation make a whole lot more sense, doesn’t it? God is very natural… He created it… ALL of it. That moment of the conception of a human being is the same spark or bang if you will that was the conception/creation of this world.
Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Look at the first two lines above from Genesis. God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void. Those words without form and void are translated in Hebrew, tohu va-vohu, which literally means to lay waste, a dry desert without water.
Why did God create something and then lay waste to it? I’ll give you one guess… Lucifer/Satan.
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Knowing Jesus IS the word of God all things were framed in Him. In His image.
Ephesians 2:20-21 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
That word “worlds” in that verse from Hebrews is aion in the Greek, which means eon or ages. In other words, the world ages not worlds. God only created this world once. He only framed it in Jesus once. But has had to destroy it, flood it and will destroy it again before restoring it back to its original perfection with His children. All of this to save His children.
There are two words primarily used in the bible translated as “foundation”. Themelios is primarily used in association with Jesus Christ as our foundation. Katabole is primarily used in reference to this world or Kosmos in the Greek and it means a lot more than just “foundation”.
katabolē 1) a throwing or laying down. 1a) the injection or depositing of the virile semen in the womb. 1b) of the seed of plants and animals. 2) a founding (laying down a foundation)
kata means down from, through, against, according to, towards, during
bole in Greek means to throw, send or put
Side note: I think it’s interesting that in English bole means the trunk of a tree. Think about it… in the beginning in the garden there were two trees.
Have you ever looked at a map of the world? It almost looks like the pieces could be shoved back together perfectly to make one land mass. Like someone just shook the pieces a part. God destroyed this world before this current earth age in a katabole.
Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
He is not talking about the flood here. He is talking about “shaking the earth”. The earth was not made void by the flood. I know because after the flood, a dove brought an olive branch back to Noah to let him know it was safe to come off of the boat.
Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
People get all riled up about how the bible and science are in conflict with each other. The katabole explains most of it right there. Yes, there were dinosaurs and an ice age. It’s talked about in Job.
Job 40:14-18 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
God created this earth age for our salvation. That is why it started with light… Who is our light?
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Have you ever seen an eclipse? That same chain reaction of light encircles the moon and has the same effect of focusing the light and making it even brighter than it was before. The light overcoming the darkness as it was in the beginning so shall it be in the end. There is another earth age to come. The final one.
The third earth age. And, as always the case, there is more than one meaning. Think of Jesus dead for three days and on the third day rising. So, it must be with us on this earth. We had to be purified with His blood sacrifice to get rid of our sin before we could be reunited with our Creator. God is bringing heaven here and will live here among us. He is not destroying this earth but restoring it back to what it was before Satan’s fall. We will go into that more in Chapter 9 – The Enemy.
Revelation 21:1-2 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Again, it is representative of the earth but also our flesh bodies as it was in the beginning. So, it shall be in the end with the new heaven and our spiritual perfect bodies with Christ conception in us by that light to create our new and perfect selves.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
John the Baptist told us that we had to be baptized with water and with fire.
Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
As I explained earlier, things have more than one meaning. I believe that baptism by water and fire is true for individuals and also this earth.
We are baptized with water in obedience, to represent our dying to this flesh and belief that we will be raised again with Christ. We are baptized in fire by the Holy Spirit weighing our hearts and raising us into His Spirit.
Deuteronomy 4:24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
He is a consuming fire for his enemies but for those who love him it is a fire in our heart. A beautiful, warming fire of everlasting love.
I found out in Israel that in Acts when it talks about the Holy Spirit coming upon them, they were most likely reading the word of God. I always had been taught they were praying, but Jews pray standing up. These were sitting which makes sense that the Spirit overcame them with tongues of fire as they were reading the word of God. How precious and powerful the Word of God.
Acts 2:1-6 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
I included the last verse of that because a lot of churches talk about speaking in tongues. But the definition of that by the bible standards, is that the utterance inspired by the Holy Spirit is understood in all languages at once. Not that the speaker has been given something special that no one else understands.
As we have to be baptized, so does this earth also. It had to be cleansed by water with the flood to get rid of that evil generation and start to turn again towards God. It will also be cleansed by fire to make Holy for Christ’s everlasting kingdom. And, that fire is the Word of God. Jesus.
2 Peter 3:3-7 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Is this something to be afraid of? Of course not! Did you know that the phrase do not be afraid is in the bible 365 times? A reminder for every day of the year!
He promises to be with us through both of those baptisms, water and fire.
Isaiah 43: 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
